Sunday Garden Barber Two chairs · Courtyard shop
Barber trimming a client's hair with clippers beside a sunlit shop window

Open since a quiet spring

A slow haircut at the end of the garden path

Two chairs, one mirror, and as long as the cut actually needs. We work by appointment so the shop never fills up louder than a kettle.

  • Scissor cuts
  • Beard shaping
  • Grey blending
  • Appointment only

The room

Built in an old potting shed, kept warm on purpose

The shop sits behind a row of planters that someone waters far too often. Inside there is a long bench, two chairs, a radio that only plays one station well, and a kettle that gets more use than the till. Nobody is rushed out, and nobody is upsold.

  • 01

    One client per chair

No double-booking and no waiting room queue. Your slot is yours, including the talking part.

  • 02

    Cut for how it grows

We work with the cowlicks and the thinning spots rather than against them, so it still sits right three weeks later.

  • 03

    Say it plainly

If a style will not hold on your hair, we will tell you before the clippers come out and suggest something that will.

Services & prices

Short list, done properly

Every appointment starts with a few minutes of looking and asking before anything gets cut. Times below include that.

The Sunday Cut

£32

Our standard scissor-and-clipper cut, finished dry so you can see exactly how it will fall.

45 minutes

Skin Fade

£36

A clean graduated fade with a soft top. Best kept fresh every three to four weeks.

50 minutes

Beard Shape

£20

Line-up, length work and a hot towel to settle everything down afterwards.

30 minutes

Cut & Beard

£48

The pair together, balanced as one shape rather than two separate jobs.

70 minutes

Longer Lengths

£38

Shoulder-length and curly hair, cut in sections with weight taken out where it needs it.

60 minutes

Tidy Between Visits

£16

Neck, edges and ears only, for the fortnight when the rest of it is still fine.

Barber · Opened the shop

Trained in scissor work first and clippers second, which still shows. Happiest with a grown-out cut that needs a plan rather than a trim.

Good to know

Before your first visit

What happens at a first appointment?

Come with your hair as it normally is, unwashed is fine. We spend the first few minutes talking through what you want and what your hair will actually do, then cut. Bring a photo if you have one; it helps more than describing it.

Do you cut children's hair?

Yes, from about four years old. Book one of the quieter mid-morning slots and mention their age in your request so we leave extra time.

How do I change or cancel a slot?

Reply to the email we send when your appointment is confirmed and we will move it. With only two chairs, as much notice as you can manage genuinely helps.

Is there a wait for walk-ins?

We are appointment only, so there is no walk-in queue. If a slot opens on the day we offer it to whoever asked most recently.
